MORE ABOUT FRAZEY FORD

Frazey Ford was initially known as one-third of the alternative folk trio The Be Good Tanyas, a band based in Vancouver, Canada, that played a blend of folk, country, and blues with an old-time feel, in the style of artists like Gillian Welch and Iris Dement. The trio's first concert was in 1999, and their first album was released in 2001. They became a cult band.

Alongside the band's somewhat erratic trajectory, Frazey developed a solo career that took its first step in 2010 with the LP "Obadiah" and has continued with "Indian Ocean" (2014) and "U Kin B The Sun" (2020), with his music delving deeper and deeper, but subtly, into the territory of soul and rhythm'n'blues, usually playing with lyrics that are not easy to decipher, but which together with his sweet voice are captivating.
