MORE ABOUT FONTAINES D.C.

Fontaines D.C.—Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan, and Tom Coll—will release their fifth album, "Dopamine Chamber", on October 16, 2026, via XL Recordings.

Produced by James Ford, it is the follow-up to "Romance" (2024), which was certified platinum in the UK, and represents the sound of a band that has decisively moved away from the guitar-driven language of their earlier albums to delve into their most seductive music to date.

Preceded by the lead single “Marianne,” the album arrives like a constellation after billowing sighs of smog: powerful ballads, catchy melodies shining through the gloom. In a world teetering on the brink of collapse, it explores how pleasure mutates amidst danger and what our pursuit of it reveals about us.

Fontaines D.C. has spent five albums refusing to repeat themselves: from "Dogrel" (2019) through "A Hero’s Death" (2020), the UK and Ireland number 1 hit "Skinty Fia" (2022), and the anarchic, kaleidoscopic "Romance" (2024).

"Dopamine Chamber" is their most radical departure to date: it was recorded with Ford between London, the English countryside, and Palermo, where Chatten recorded the vocals in a makeshift booth constructed from mattresses and cushions. For their fifth album, Fontaines D.C. has built the chamber. What happens to the listener inside it will be the experiment.
