  • Investing in the next generation of Native leaders 🌟 Last month, Alexia Catalone and Pierce Lukonaitis represented Seneca Holdings at the Native American Contractors Association Emerging Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. Over three days, they connected with Native business leaders, federal agency representatives, and members of Congress to discuss Native self-determination, advocacy, and the future of federal contracting. The conversations provided valuable insight into the policies and priorities shaping the future of the industry and communities we serve. These experiences give emerging leaders the perspective, relationships, and confidence to think strategically and bring new ideas back to their organizations and communities. We’re proud of Alexia and Pierce for representing Seneca Holdings so well and investing in the future of Native leadership. 👏 (Photos courtesy of Native American Contractors Association) #NACA #EmergingLeaders #NACAELS26 #NativeLeadership #FederalContracting

  • Every Step Honors A Journey 🧡🪶 Yesterday, Seneca Holdings team members wore orange to honor Every Child Matters and remember the children, families, and communities impacted by the residential school system. On Orange Shirt Day, we honor Indigenous children who survived residential schools, remember those who never returned home, and recognize survivors and their families. We remember. We reflect. And we reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the Seneca Nation of Indians and supporting generations to come. #EveryChildMatters #OrangeShirtDay #SenecaNation #SeventhGeneration

  • 🎉 Congratulations to Seneca Environmental on winning the Green Power Leadership Award in Market Innovation at the Renewable Energy Markets conference! This recognition reflects something we're incredibly proud of: proving that the REC market can unlock real, untapped cash flow for tribal energy sovereignty. $50K+ in RECs purchased from tribal energy projects is just the start. More partnerships are coming this fall. We're honored to be the parent company behind this work. #RenewableEnergy #TribalSovereignty #CleanEnergy #GreenPowerLeadershipAward Center for Resource Solutions

I’m proud to share that this month, Seneca Environmental was recognized at the Renewable Energy Markets conference with a Green Power Leadership Award in the Market Innovation category. Capital for climate solutions is always hard to come by, especially for tribal energy work. And for tribes, the climate benefits from renewable energy initiatives are often secondary to the energy sovereignty milestones those initiatives represent. My hypothesis, which we have now validated through increasingly valuable transactions conducted over the last 6 months, was that the Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) market would be a great way for tribes to generate previously untapped free cash flow for urgent climate and energy sovereignty action. While we’re just getting started, we’ve already purchased more than $50,000 of RECs from tribal energy projects and are excited to announce more additions to our portfolio this fall. To some, $50,000 in annual revenue may not seem like much, but here’s where we’ve heard our tribal partners say they can put it to use: 👨💻 Hiring junior staff on their sustainability team 💸 Debt service on renewable energy facilities 🔧 Operations & Maintenance account reserves for their energy facilities I’m grateful to have received public recognition for leading this work, but the reward is in creating real community benefits through these transactions. Thanks to those of you who have followed this journey and have supported us along the way. It truly does take a village.

  • Seneca Holdings was proud to be part of this year’s Cattaraugus Fall Festival. 🍂 This beloved community tradition brings families together each September to celebrate the season, support Indigenous artists and food vendors, and strengthen the bonds that make the Seneca community special. Our team enjoyed connecting with community members, sharing what we do, and answering questions at our table. It's moments like these that remind us why our work matters. Wëso nya:wëh to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We're grateful for these connections and already looking forward to next year! #FallFest #SenecaHoldings
