We envision a world where children become champions of their own making.
About us
We envision a world where children become champions of their own making; where nothing stands in the way of their infinite promise. Acelero Learning was founded in 2001 by a former Head Start teacher and Children Defense Fund staffer, with a clear mission -- to work with local communities to improve the quality of Head Start programs. In 2005, Acelero Learning began to directly administer Early Head Start and Head Start programs through delegate agencies -- locally managed affiliates with their own local boards of directors that received dedicated support from the Acelero Learning Support Center in New York. Today, Acelero Learning affiliates operate a network of Head Start and other early childhood programs serving nearly 5,000 young children and families across the country. Our affiliates in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Camden, Monmouth and Middlesex Counties in New Jersey, Clark County, Nevada, Aiken and Barnwell Counties in South Carolina and Racine and Milwaukee counties in Wisconsin have each improved the delivery of early childhood education in their communities -- increasing enrollment, improving teacher salaries and dramatically expanding the number of hours of programming for children and families.

This photo makes me smile. I know the care and commitment behind these faces. We just completed our second annual People Team Summit, and I left with a deeper appreciation for this team. We had honest conversations about what is required of us, individually and together. Some were hard. I’m grateful we were willing to have them. One Team. One Voice. That’s the charge we’re carrying forward. On this HR Day, I’m celebrating this committed, thoughtful team and everything we have the opportunity to accomplish at Acelero Learning and Shine Early Learning. To the People Team: Thank you for caring enough to ask the hard questions and being willing to act on the answers. For sharing your perspectives, listening when someone’s experience differed from your own, and thinking about what we can do better together. I know how much care goes into this work, including the work few people ever see. The follow-up that keeps someone from feeling forgotten. The extra time spent helping someone understand their options. The moment you pause your own full day to help a colleague through theirs. I appreciate all of it. Thank you for making room for your own learning, too. We ask so much of the leaders and employees we support. Being willing to examine ourselves and grow alongside them matters. And thank you for the laughter. We need that. We need time to enjoy each other, be ourselves, and remember that we deserve the same connection and care we work to create for everyone else. I appreciate each one of you. Happy #HRDay!

It was a joy to attend the Acelero Learning dedications of the Scott Miller and Aubrey Jones Centers this week. Too often, our heroes get recognized for their contributions after they are gone. I am thrilled we had the opportunity to honor the transformative roles Scott and Aubrey have played in our company’s history while their friends and family could hear from others what they are far too humble to say themselves. I am grateful they will continue to influence the future of Acelero Learning and Shine Early Learning for years to come — and that every child, family, and staff person who steps foot in these centers will have Scott and Aubrey present in spirit to inspire greatness.

On September 8, 2026, we officially dedicated two of our early learning centers as the Acelero Learning Brian L. Pauling Center and the Acelero Learning Tameka S. Henry center, recognizing both Mr. Pauling's and Ms. Henry's exceptional leadership, years of service, and enduring commitment to children, families, and the Clark County community. Each dedication was celebrated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by families, educators, community leaders, and current and former colleagues. These newly named centers are being dedicated this year in honor of leaders whose vision, service, and commitment have helped shape the organization during its first 25 years. “Brian is a foundational pillar of Acelero Learning and renowned for pairing rigorous financial oversight with an unshakeable commitment to mission,” said Rory Sipp, President of Acelero Learning. "Tameka’s journey is a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of early childhood education. Starting as a dedicated Head Start parent, Tameka now serves as our Board Chair and a Clark County School District School Board Trustee.”

Acelero Learning Brian L. Pauling Center - What an AMAZING week! Words fail to fully express the emotions felt as we celebrated the official dedication, unveiling, and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Acelero Learning Brian L. Pauling Center!! I have witnessed the transformative impact that education has on a child's life trajectory. Our children, families, and communities deserve access to high-quality educational opportunities, and this facility consistently delivers on that promise! I hope that my name on this building serves as a continuous source of inspiration for all who see it, especially for the children who enter its doors to learn and the educators who come within its walls to teach.

For 25 years, our work has been rooted in one belief: that nothing would stand in the way of a child's infinite potential. We’re deeply grateful to the educators, families, partners, and communities who have been part of this journey. Twenty-five years is worth celebrating, and we’re even more excited about the impact we’ll keep building together for children. We’re honored to welcome Matt Glickman to the Acelero Inc. Board of Directors. Across Acelero Learning and Shine Early Learning, our work is grounded in a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Matt brings an extraordinary depth of experience to that work. He co-founded and served as CEO of BabyCenter and today teaches entrepreneurship, leadership, and management at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Throughout his career, he has built, advised, and supported organizations working to create meaningful change in education and early childhood development. From the children and families served through Acelero Learning’s preschool programs to the early childhood leaders and organizations supported by Shine Early Learning across the country, Matt’s experience and perspective will be an incredible asset as we continue to grow our impact. We’re grateful to have Matt helping guide what comes next for Acelero Inc. and our ambitious goal of reaching one million children by 2030. Welcome, Matt. We’re incredibly fortunate to have you with us. 💙
